We Can Service a Variety of Boiler Types
Though S.A.A.B. Plumbing and Heating is equipped and knowledgeable about most heating systems available, there are specific boilers we recommend.
Types of boilers we install and service include:
- Natural gas: This is the most common type of boiler because it is cost-effective and environmentally friendly. Natural gas is an efficient resource that allows you to keep your home warm for longer and cost-effectively.
- Steam: This heating method turns water into steam to generate heat. This is known for its higher heating capacity, so it is often used industrially. These systems need regular maintenance and monitoring to stay at their best.
- Hot water: Larger residential buildings often benefit from hot water boilers that simultaneously create heat and hot water. This type of boiler can be energized by gas, oil, or electricity and serves a dual purpose.
- Oil: If you don’t have natural gas, oil-fired boilers are also reliable and energy efficient. However, they are not as eco-friendly.
- Combination (combi): These boilers save space by working as a water heater and a heating system. If your space is limited and you’re looking for an all-in-one solution, a combi boiler might be right for you.

How Do I Know if My Boiler Is Broken?
Boilers should be airtight, so a leak is always a concern. If you ever notice water from the boiler, an immediate repair is necessary to fix it and replace the water. A leak can lead to low water pressure and overheating, which causes severe damage to your system. If the boiler continues to operate when there is no way to create energy, it will start to make rumbling noises and overheat.
Rust and corrosion are expected as the years wear on, but these are signs that a problem like a leak is imminent. If these are in minor areas, they can easily be replaced, but if the rust travels to your tank, the whole system will need to be replaced. Sediment and limescale from the tank's water also build up over time and can reduce efficiency and increase cost. Annual maintenance is essential to prevent these avoidable issues.
