Commercial Plumbing Upgrades
We want to be your one-stop shop for your business’s plumbing needs. If you’re unsure what your new space needs to succeed or what typical upgrades you should consider as you plan your buildout, we’re here to help.
Commercial updates to prepare for include:
- Sewer line replacement: You may already be digging up the area around your space for a new foundation or more pipes. Don’t wait for your sewer line to need a replacement one or two years from now, disrupting your business again. Instead, replace your sewer line during the build-out for efficiency and reliability.
- Gas line plumbing: Now is the time to upgrade your system if you want to convert from electrical to gas or if you need more gas line plumbing for the added space. We’re here to help your business succeed with gas piping you can count on.
- New fixtures: Updating the fixtures throughout your business increases cohesion between your original space and the new addition. Transitioning to technologically advanced fixtures like touchless options also helps reduce germs, prevent burns, and reduce breakdowns.

Besides being responsive (SAAB called back), working with Kim, their Office Manager / Dispatcher was great. Kim worked with me around a tough schedule. Remembered my concerns about a timely and worked with the plumber, Tyler, to make sure things went smoot

We called SAAB initially looking for a company that would be willing to do work on our steam heating system. They were one of only a handful of companies who were even willing to look at the work. Rob was very helpful and ultimately offered us two options

What Size Heater Does My Business Need?
Calculating the correct size heating system to keep your employees and customers comfortable can be challenging in any space. Depending on the system you already have greatly influences whether you need a new heating system or an additional unit to serve the new space. Combination boilers are hot water heaters and other systems that save space. If your commercial buildout is smaller and needs a one-size-fits-all solution, this might be the best option so you don’t have to install an entirely new system.
However, if you’re interested in upgrading your current system, calculate the BTUs of your new space by multiplying the proposed square footage by 40. Then, add 15% to this number to calculate the maximum. This gives you a perfect range for your new unit. When in doubt about which size to get, always round up, as rounding down can overwork your boiler and cause avoidable breakdowns. Taking the time to size your heater correctly is necessary to avoid excessive costs and wear and tear.
Trust S.A.A.B. Plumbing and Heating to provide service above and beyond for our community, as we have for the past 12 years.
