Dual flush toilets are like traditional toilets, but they have a couple of unique features. Unlike regular toilets, dual flush toilets do not use siphoning action when flushed. Their trapways—the holes in the bottom of the bowl through which waste and water exit—are larger than those in traditional toilets. This unique feature makes it easier for waste to be flushed out and reduces the likelihood of clogs.
